Dr. Faith has worked as a therapist for over twenty years. She is a licensed mental health counselor and received her PhD in 2010. Tristan’s Phd research was in trauma. She has written several books with her third book pertaining to the topic and treatment of trauma. Tristan also has advanced certifications in hypnotherapy and regression therapy as well as being certified in Gestalt therapy. Dr. Faith is also a qualified addiction specialist, she ran the five star rated addiction program in an Orlando psychiatric hospital. She also had a weekly recovery group that included art therapy and meditation to insure continued supportive addiction recovery.
Dr. Faith was a crisis therapist in Madison, Wisconsin working with the Wisconsin courts to help court involved teens and families through crisis situations. She also worked with gang involved teens in Albuquerque, New Mexico and as a therapist in the Rio Rancho elementary and high school. Dr. Faith has worked with children, teens, and adults of all ages suffering from trauma, anxiety, ADHD, Autism and emotional/behavioral problems. She has also dealt with grief and loss as well as adaption and changes that occur during life transitions such as retirement.
Dr. Faith believes in the importance of addressing the mind, body, spirit connection to help heal mental health issues. She also includes art therapy, archetypal psychology, Jungian philosophies, reprogramming the brain, hypnosis, meditation, and inner child work along with cognitive behaviorism as tools to help with healing. Each person is unique with their own special story of their journey as well as the wounds they carry. Tristan wants to honor the healing process of each unique individual and use tools specific to their needs.
